Johannesburg Wedding Venue | The Forum | White Light, Lanseria

28 / 02 / 17

Once an old farm cottage, White Light is now a country style venue made modern with an all-white interior, simplistic furnishing and geometric copper light fitting – simple, understated and homely. What truly sets White Light apart from the typical wedding venue in Johannesburg is the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside. It’s a breath of fresh air for bridal couples in search of a wedding venue different from the rest.

White Light is part of the forum company’s portfolio, so naturally one can expect exceptional cuisine and unmatched service and expertise. Situated only 20 minutes from Sandton towards Lanseria on the Elandsdrift Road, the location is close enough for guests travelling but offers that essential country escape.

Ceremony

Our favourite feature has to be the open-air chapel.  Something out of the ordinary, the open-air chapel is a unique facility that combines the experience of the outdoors with all the assurances of indoor conveniences. The ivy covered arch and garden-style benches make for a romantic setting, bathed in sunlight. C'est très romantique!

Reception

The reception hall’s open-floor plan design frees rooms from doorways allowing the life of the venue to merge into a single, spacious and vibrant space that can comfortably seat up to 140 guests. The wall-to-wall glass windows flood the venue with natural light, emphasizing views, and making it that much easier to enjoy the outdoors. This allows for the space to be transformed in any way you see fit, giving you more flexibility − and room to show your personality.
