The Jonkershuis offers sweeping views across the oldest wine-producing vineyards in South Africa, all the way down the valley to the enveloping coastline of False Bay. The reception areas allow for an intimate affair of 20 to 40 guests as well as a larger reception of from 80 to 200 guests. The rich cultural history of Jonkershuis lends a magical charm to all wedding ceremonies and receptions held at this beautiful location.

Today we share Liselle and Juan’s wedding, a day the couple shared their vows and celebrated their union in style. The décor and flowers, styled by Kweek Studios, reminded me of autumn and worked perfectly with the old-world charm of the venue. Jonkershuis, a relaxed eatery and venue nestled in the historic core of the Groot Contantia Wine Estate, is a spectacular and quaint venue, which lends itself perfectly to intimate weddings in an authentic old-Cape setting.
